WWI pattern for knitting a scarf for a soldier

Sometimes knitting patterns really are just that simple.

Materials: 2 hanks Sunlight Knitting Worsted.

Cast on 50 stitches. This should measure about 10″ in width.

Knit plain until 58 inches.

For more WW2 patterns that are, admittedly, more complicated as well as more interesting than this one, check out Stories In Stitches 3. Pre-sales are open now!

  1. I guess you can’t really make an easier scarf pattern than that, LOL.

This pretty much matches the pattern given for knitters to make scarves today for the Mission to Seafarers to donate to seamen all over the world.
