It’s been a relatively relaxing knitting summer season, but the weather has been too HOT here in upper Vermont. I have three new patterns available for download that should have come out in early summer. Something a little different: a pillow, a knitting bag with lace cats on it, and some unusual mittens that have a story behind them. These are great patterns for beginners to experienced knitters. And they’re all small projects for knitting when it’s hot.
We are half way through our knitting retreat season and still have only a few spots left for our Holiday knitting retreat at Trapp Family Lodge Resort in Stowe, VT. We’ll be making a lace ornament for you to take home, and learning techniques that can also be used for shawls. It’s the first week of December, so mark your calendar and save your spot now..
Lots of knitting adventures this year. More updates coming soon. Stay cool out there.
Registration is OPEN. Get in on Craftivism Camp 2.0, and use this online course to get your knit on as you prepare for the mid-term elections and more resistance. Spend time with me and Heather Marano as we explore ways to go public with our craftivism, how to resist if you’re not physically able to march or protest, and work together to get out the vote for the midterms. We’ll be knitting, crocheting, drawing, painting, and using collage. Don’t worry if you “can’t draw”!
The online courseincludes patterns, audio messages, tutorials, and more. There’s even a new private Facebook discussion group for the past and present course members.
Did you join Craftivism Camp 1.0 earlier this year? We’d love for you to join us again as we work on getting out the vote in the midterms. Less than 100 days till the election!
Craftivism Camp 2.0 has all new materials! We will be making buttons, banners, and a reusable frame for protest signs. You’ll learn about taking your crafitivsm further into the public sphere, and what to do if you’re not physically able to get out there.
If you took the first Craftivism Camp course earlier in the year, you’ll find a repeater signup link for $9.99 for this one.
