Our Sisters’ Keepers

This has nothing to do with knitting. I’m attending a Black Lives Matter event, “My Sister’s Keeper Women’s Conference,” at the end of August and was inspired to help with some fundraising. They’re looking for sponsors and also people to donate for scholarships for women of color to attend. I thought maybe you’d be interested in contributing. If you are in Vermont, maybe you’re also interested in attending.
Here’s the formal spiel from the event organizer. Let me know what you think! Thanks.

Dear Community,
The upcoming conference is an effort to unite women of all categories against racism. Following the historical Women’s March of 2017, many asked the question “what next.” Our “what next” is the launch of a bold campaign entitled “My sister’s keeper challenge.” A campaign designed to educate, reconcile, and unite against systemic oppression caused by racism.
The conference includes pre-workshops which includes trauma informed nurturing for women of color. We hope that you will consider sponsoring our important event for the betterment of society as a whole. Below is a snapshot followed by a categories of sponsorship.
