I don’t know about you, but I’ve been off my game since the 2016 election and I’m pretty tired of feeling this way. I’m getting ready to kick off my funk at the mid-terms and no matter what happens, I’m moving forward with my life and creative work in 2019 with renewed energy and determination.
To launch my transition, I’m doing a Smash the Patriarchy mystery cowl KAL next month. While we may need our rage at injustice to channel into activism, we also need to calm ourselves and knit so we don’t kill people.
This KAL will include relaxing and meditative stitch patterns that move the colors in my new colorway in interesting ways. As always, I’ll have video tutorials to go along with the KAL so you can pick up some new skills.
• Clue 1, week of Nov 4
• Clue 2, Nov 11
• Clue 3, Nov 18
• Clue 4, Nov 25
• Finishing, Nov 31
This KAL is part of Our Knitting Roots book club, and we’ll be reading Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger by Rebecca Traister and we’ll discuss ideas on how anger can fuel us and how we can channel it without feeling grouchy and being irritable all the time.
