Donna's Writings

Nice to meet you!

Hi, Sheep To Shawl readers. First of all, let me introduce myself. I’m Susan, of @JelliDonut. Donna and I got know each other a little by accident, and a lot by luck. I came across one of her tweets, where she was trying to locate somebody who was interested in helping her with the gazillion projects she always has going on. I tweeted that if the person didn’t get back to her, she should let me know, hint, hint. The next thing I know, I’m co-authoring a book with her. Talk about luck…

The book is tentatively titled Big-Needle Lace: Knitting Gifts on The Go. We’re aiming for a publishing date sometime this fall, just in time for holiday gift making. It will feature quick lace patterns for scarves, wraps, hats, mitts, and more, with the majority of the patterns knit on size nine or larger needles. Right now, I’m busy rounding up test knitters, ordering yarn, and writing up the patterns I’m contributing to the book. Donna is masterminding this project so you know it’s going to be a good one.

I’m so excited to be working with Donna. She’s a mile-a-minute creator with so many great ideas, I have to run to keep up with her. But I think I’m up to the challenge. Can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve next!
