We start our first bookclub discussions tomorrow! I’m going to start with House of Stone because it is still in print and available as an ebook and audio book and I think everyone has been able to get a copy, or can get one instantly.
This is all new to me, so please be patient as we find the best way to share our discussions. For this first book I will write a post about the book with topics to discuss, and we will talk about it in the comments. If you prefer, you can join the private Facebook Group or discuss the books in my Ravelry group.
Before we start the next book, I’ll do a little survey to see how it went and we can change the process if we need to.
Here’s what I’m thinking the schedule will be:
- March 1: Begin reading/discussing House of Stone by Anthony Shadid. (Available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook formats and is included with Kindle Unlimited.)
- March 15: Arab/American sock pattern is published (you can pre-order it now and get the yarn info and charts for swatching), discuss techniques and patterns with info from Ethnic Socks and Stockings by Priscilla Gibson Roberts. (Out of print. Check bookfinder.com or your local library and remember to ask about Interlibrary Loan if it’s not part of the local library’s collection.)
- March 30: Begin reading/discussing Arab/American by Gary Paul Nathan. (Out of print. Check bookfinder.com or your local library and remember to ask about Interlibrary Loan if it’s not part of the local library’s collection.)
