Working in bed whilst coming down with a cold. This is the manuscript of Dorothy Reade’s unpublished book, “Knitting Charts and How to Use Them” which includes charted versions of Victorian stitches like this Old Scotch Lace, as well as several of Dorothy’s original lace stitches. The post-it says, “The draft notebook.” I am using this material in an article about DR, for examples in my Victorian Knitting class, and I hope to publish the book, perhaps with some additions of my own, in 2012 or 2013.
