The Knitted Rug: Mitered Square Patchwork

4 hours  (one 4-hour session or two 2-hour sessions)

Mitered squares are fun to make, and they are very popular today for a vareity of knitting projects.
This classic patchwork design was inspired by the clean colors of Amish quilts. Like a quilt, the rug is big, but each square is small, so you can carry your knitting with you. You start each square with the longest row. As you knit, the rows get shorter, and your knitting goes faster until there are no stitches left to bind off.

The workshop will cover the following topics:
Easy. Need to know the knit stitch, cast-on and bind-off, have experience making at least one completed project. Purling is optional
